Company history
Establishment of a company called “UZOR” with headquarters in Kakanj.
The company was founded in 1995 under the name “UZOR”, with headquarters in Kakanj. As the forerunner of today’s MGM Farm, “UZOR” laid the foundations of its business in the field of trade and distribution, focusing on the development of a reliable and responsible company that would later grow into one of the key players in the pharmaceutical market of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Renaming the company to “MGM FARM” d.o.o. Kakanj
In 1998, the company was officially renamed “MGM FARM” d.o.o. Kakanj – a name it proudly bears today. This change marked the beginning of a new development chapter, with a clearly defined focus on the pharmaceutical business and strategic growth in the domestic market.
Open the customs warehouse Type C
In 2005, MGM Farm made a significant step forward in improving its logistics capacity by opening the C-Tip bonded warehouse. This warehouse enabled more efficient management of import-export processes, faster distribution of goods and greater flexibility in working with international partners. The opening of the C-Tip warehouse further strengthened MGM Farm’s position as a reliable partner in the pharmaceutical supply chain.
“MGM Farm” d.o.o., shareholder of Pharmamed d.o.o. Travnik
During 2006, “MGM FARM” d.o.o. Kakanj entered the ownership structure of Pharmamed d.o.o. Travnik, acquiring a 10% stake. This strategic investment represents an important step towards strengthening cooperation within the domestic pharmaceutical industry and confirms MGM Farm’s long-term orientation towards supporting local production and the development of the Bosnian and Herzegovinian pharmaceutical sector.

In 2010, “MGM FARM” d.o.o. Kakanj received the ISO 9001:2008 certificate, confirming its commitment to quality, process standardisation and continuous improvement of services. This internationally recognised certificate further strengthens the company’s reputation as a reliable partner in the pharmaceutical industry.
“MGM FARM” d.o.o. Kakanj receives the Certificate of Good Distribution Practice (GMP Certificate)
In 2015, “MGM FARM” d.o.o. Kakanj successfully obtained the Good Distribution Practice (GDP) certificate, confirming that the company operates by the highest standards in the storage and distribution of pharmaceutical products. This certificate further strengthens the trust of partners and customers in the safety and reliability of MGM Farm’s logistics system.
“MGM FARM” d.o.o. Kakanj becomes a co-owner of the company Apomedical
In 2016, “MGM FARM” d.o.o. Kakanj became a co-owner of Apomedical, expanding its presence in the pharmaceutical sector through a strategic partnership. This acquisition represents a continuation of the development towards business diversification and further strengthening of the market position in the field of distribution and pharmaceutical services.
Opening of a distribution center in Lukavac
In 2023, “MGM FARM” d.o.o. Kakanj opens a modern distribution centre in Lukavac, further improving logistics capacities and optimising delivery processes throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina. The new centre enables faster, safer and more efficient distribution of products to the highest quality standards and regulatory requirements.
